The Balticon Art Show showcases two- and three- dimensional art across the science fiction, fantasy, and horror genres. Paintings, prints, sculpture and unique jewelry will be on display and for sale via silent auction and Quicksale purchase.
This year we are pleased to have Donato Giancola as our Artist Guest of Honor. Come meet him and many of our program participants during our Friday Face Time event on the 5th floor between 9 and 10:30 in the evening, after Opening Ceremonies. Although all of our Guests and Participants are invited to this event, their attendance is optional, so please show your appreciation to those who make themselves available to their fans during Friday Face Time.
Art Show Rules and Registration are available as PDFs; the Registration PDF is a “fillable” form. Please download the registration form before filling it out, since some browsers do not handle these PDFs correctly. You can download the latest version of Adobe Acrobat Reader for free here.

Registration forms can be submitted via fax to 240-457-4346 with a credit card payment. PLEASE DO NOT EMAIL CREDIT CARD INFORMATION.
If you would like us to print a link to your website or contact information and/or up to 10 lines (i.e. 200 words, 1100 characters) of biographical information on our website or BSFan souvenir book, please provide that information by writing to webmaster and BSFan with ARTIST BIO in the subject line. If you are mailing in your art: Send it postmarked no later than Friday, May 19, 2017, to allow for shipping delays. We will be unable to pick up art at the box location later than Wednesday, May 24.
The Art Show opens to the public at 5 pm on Friday, and runs til 5 pm Sunday. Artist check-in begins at noon on Friday. Please bring, or have your agent bring, your art to be set up beginning at noon. Artist check-out begins at 3 pm on Sunday. Please have your art packed and ready to check out between 3 and 5 pm on Sunday.
The Art Show opens to the public at 5 pm on Friday, and runs until 5 pm Sunday. Members are encouraged to place written bids on artwork, or purchase via Quicksale. Use your badge number as your bidder number when placing bids. Bidding is open until 1 pm Sunday. Any art that receives three or more bids automatically goes to our Sunday voice auction at 2pm. Pieces that receive fewer than three bids are “sold” to the highest bid on the bid sheet, and can be paid for and collected after 3pm Sunday. Quicksale purchases must be paid for immediately, however artwork must remain on display until 6 pm Saturday. Please ask an Art Show volunteer for assistance when making a Quicksale purchase. Do not touch or remove artwork from its display.
No food, drink, bulky bags, or photography is allowed in the Art Show. You may check your bag when you enter the Art Show.
