Bruce Blackistone
I sometimes describe myself as a retired civil servant (National Park Service), part time blacksmith, and seasonal Viking ship captain. I did my first blacksmithing in 1982 to modify a trailer hitch to bring one of our Viking boats to Balticon; and have been trying to improve my skills ever since. I am active in both the Markland Medieval Mercenary Militia, and the Longship Company; which also inspire my ironwork in medieval styles, as well as certain Steampunk tendencies. (My grandmother was a Victorian, and my father was an Edwardian.)
