What is Balticon?

A four day celebration of Science Fiction and Fantasy!

Join over fifteen hundred fans of all backgrounds as we gather to celebrate Science Fiction and Fantasy with more than 300 hours of diverse programming, from award winning authors and publishers to twitch live-streamers, from cosplay experts to renowned scientists and tech innovators. Sing along with our filkers, soak in our stunning Art Show and Masquerade, laugh and cry at our Film Festival. We’ve got something for everyone.

05/29/22 – One COVID-19 case was reported. See the Covid Reports page for detail.

05/24/22 – To help keep everyone well, attending members must present their proof of vaccination when picking up their badge and wear a face covering over nose and mouth in the public indoor areas. See the COVID-19 FAQ for details.

05/24/22 – Virtual panels will be in Virtual Panel Rooms 1 and 2, and break-out rooms in the Virtual Con Suite. Programming will be streamed from the Maryland Ballroom CD (Main Tent), Watertable, Homeland, Gibson, and Kent rooms.

05/24/22 – C.J. Cherryh will be attending Balticon virtually.

05/23/22 – Attending memberships must be purchased at the door. See the Pricing & Information page for prices and hours. Virtual memberships are still available online.

05/19/22 – Balticon will provide ASL interpreters for some program items. See the schedule here. Our Virtual and Broadcast events will use the native Zoom closed-captioning.

03/20/22 – Virtual pricing for the whole weekend is $30 for adults and $20 for young adults. Virtual membership is automatically included with any in-person membership purchase. Visit the Prices and Information page.
