See the "Who's Coming" page for more information.

A list of potential program ideas will be available soon.

Send your program ideas to ideas@balticon.org. Please include a brief descriptive paragraph, format (panel, roundtable, presentation, workshop) and whether you would like to be the presenter, moderator or a panelist for the item. The program coordinators will see that your suggestions get to the right program track coordinators. We welcome program suggestions year round. While those received after Feb. 15, 2015, are not as likely to find a program slot in the 2015 Balticon, they will certainly be included in the ideas considered for the next few years.

HOTEL:

The Balticon 49 hotel is the Hunt Valley Inn (a Wyndham affiliate), 245 Shawan Road, Hunt Valley, Maryland 21031 USA.  (Phone: 410-785-7000)

The Balticon Hotel block is open for reservations. The Hotel page has the link to the Wyndham Balticon reservations page.

We have expanded our block for Friday and Saturday nights. Please do not overbook hotel rooms. We have enough capacity for those nights so that we should not have any problems. But if people overbook then other members will be unable to reserve a room, and then when you cancel the extra room(s), you put Balticon in danger of missing our room block commitment.

Hotel Policies
Maryland law prohibits indoor smoking in the hotel. The hotel has designated a smoking area outside the front entrance under the colonnade. Due to space limitations created by construction at the hotel, this will be the only outdoor space where smoking will be permitted around the hotel. Balticon classifies vaping the same as smoking, and the same restrictions apply within Convention space and public areas of the hotel.

Any alcoholic beverages served in public spaces at the hotel must be served by hotel employees.

Only working service animals are permitted in Convention space.

The hotel does not permit merchandise sales from hotel rooms.

Balticon provides wire grid towers for signs and posters to publicize your event. Please use the wire grid towers and do not post anything on the newly renovated hotel walls or door frames.

ACCESS:

If you require special services for ADA or other access from the convention, please contact us at adainfo@balticon.org (preferably before May 10, 2015) and we will attempt to accommodate your needs. It is helpful if we know of your need for a Sign Language Interpreter as early as possible.

POLICIES:

Costume Weapons:

Costume weapons must be inspected and peace bonded. Taking costume weapons outside the hotel will create conflict; please do not take anything that looks like a weapon outside the hotel.

Harassment Policy:
